Thank you Suresh for providing this space. This should provide the ideal medium for sharing ideas and interacting.
ReplyDeleteIf you have the 10th standard photograph of the class - please do try to add it here so that we can have some comments on the same.
This is great Suresh. Thanks very much. Do I understand that we dump the gmail platform and use this instead? I am not literate about these so maybe you could help me as well as others like me. Ha Ha
ReplyDeleteThis, I feel would be a better option. Gmail has its own disadvantages. Here we can openly communicate, besides it gets archived month wise. It can be made weekly too. I will try to make it more attractive by spending some time on it.
ReplyDeleteI just had a tele-chat with Sivu ... Hey Rajendra - nice to know that you met Rajiv and had some quality time with him and his fam.
KVK has its own website - the link is http://www.kvcalicutone.org/
Hi guys! Great going. I feel alive and among FRIENDS since a couple of months now. Even greater since yesterday having met Raaendra. Looking forward to 26 Dec. Raaendra, Vandana and Pixie are looking forward to Calicut(and Venice of the East) just as much as i am. Thanks to you re. Byeo everybody for now.
ReplyDeleteGreat Suresh! Hmm there is a lot more to learn from you.
ReplyDeleteSuresh,
ReplyDeleteGreat job. Thanks! This is very good.
Suresh, This is really good. Maaan!!! You are a genius.
ReplyDeleteHere's a repeat of the mail I sent on gmail to all of you.
All you guys and gals, I am sorry I havent been able to do much in the last few days other than sending in a few one line messages. There has been a major development regarding the finalisation of the venue for our reunion. It will be the Akbar Hall at the Hyson Heritage, Calicut. Menu can be discussed and finalised a few days prior to the event - Ideally a buffet with due consideration for the vegetarians and non- vegetarians. The timing will be from 2 PM to 10 PM. An advance payment of Rs. 1,000 has been made enabling us to book the venue for the event. All this has been possible with the involvement of Sivu and detailed information on receipts and budgeted expenses will be furnished to all members of our group in due course. Details of the hotel can be had from their website http://www.hysonheritage.com
Ramdas, regarding the Exclusive Club, please do not worry. It has been handled well by Sivu. No ruffled feathers anywhere.
Sivu and Rajalakshmi are in - ramdas just peeped in once and have gone back to gmail with his posting. System is quite user-friendly and this space should be the one which we all would be visiting at least once daily.
ReplyDeleteCan somebody send me the xth std group photograph - please scan and forward to sureshnair.nair@gmail.com.
ReplyDeleteIs there any way we could get hold of old School Magazines from 1968 onward so that we can manage some thing for pics. Nobody seems to have any class photographs, I guess. If someone would have had, he or she would have informed by now.
ReplyDeleteNobody even sent me a family photograph which I had asked for, so as to create some group photos.
Does it seem that we neither have the photgaraphs nor the inclination to get hold of or create one now ?
A nice attempt. Its good to see some responding. Im sorry posting hasnt been done by me earlier. Sur, Im back from Cochin this morn n thought I would do as promised to u. U will see me here henceforth. I was not able to read previous comments... Will do so soon. Till then bye.
ReplyDeleteHi Seny: In one of your mails you had written that you have the photograph of our xth std. Were you able to trace it out? I would like the same to be displayed on this page..
ReplyDeleteSur,Im on d hunting span......hard luck...... cant find them. Will keep trying. Once I find them will send it to u.
ReplyDeleteVenu, A belated Congratulations!!!!!!! Hope to see u n family in Dec.
Ranji, Im so sorry to hear about Bimboo. I know its sad but then its better to let go than see it suffering. How is Govind now?? Its nice to hear he is going abroad for his higher studies. All the best.
I talked to Sunil today. He had my number n never bothered to call even once. In fact, I had lost my mobile n with it so many mobile numbers too.
I will be coming alone for the reunion. NO hubby n NO sons n NO dau in laws too.
Good to see atleast one post today. ThanQ Seny.
ReplyDeleteRanjit - Parting is always painful and I know what you people would have gone thru when Bimbo left. But I am happy to note that Govind is better now. When is he leaving India? And also nice to know that you were able to establish the links with Srivatsan. - Now you would have realised the power of NETWORK. What are your plans? Study? Great. Best wishes.
On gmail I was happy to see Sivu - Rajendran's interactions. I talked to Karunakaran yesterday. He works for New India Insurance at Tirur and commutes daily from Calicut.
I have given a link for subscribing the posts and comments on this blog - this will enable all of us to have a link on the igoogle page.
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the one and only, Mrs. Sandhya Raja into our midst. A very warm, welcome Sandhya. Beyond any doubt, the boys and girls would love to be kept on their toes. Please start unleashing the power of the pen and let the gates to healthy debates and discussions be thrown open. We thank you for the decision to join us here and also look forward to your presence along with your family and parents for the get-together of the 26th December at Calicut.Looking forward to your lively presence, interaction and continued co-operation. My sincere thankfulness and best wishes, PKRamdas
ReplyDeleteHi Suresh.
ReplyDeleteYou have done a great job.I will be around from now on.It would be really nice to retrieve the class photo.A round of group SMSs requesting for it might help.
Thank you for the nice words. It would have been a great fun to have all of us here ... but what to do - our members are a bit reluctant -as our Girish wrote in one his mails - If we feel we can then we can ...
ReplyDeleteNo no no Suresh, They are not reluctant; they are practicing, but don't ask me where ? Is there any other place that they could possibly test-spar and then get back here? Tell me also, Suresh, I would also like to to go through some practice. Suresh, can you please make a presentation using the projector and familiarize many of us who are new to this ? What a fantastic idea, I thought. Wonder how the Convenor will think. I could have treated him to a nice dinner if he were here in Bah. But alas, that's not to be. Hey Hey Ranjibhai, thu kyun maalice dalkey baittah heyn ? Hum aapko bhejney hi walah hey, woh jo insertion aap poocha hai, Slides mein, right ?
ReplyDeleteJust read the above comments today...Didnt know how to get back to this page... But the patience n time spent have now got me how to get through this n find the new postings... n to post comments too. Thanks Sur...... At last Ive got through this test.
ReplyDeleteFor all the nice encouraging words if I say just a thanX (abbreviated) may not be right - So a BIG THANKYOU ...
ReplyDeleteSo early in d morning u r at the desk n checking the comments on the blog... Ur work is too good........n v appreciate the same. Im sure the rest will follow......it may happen when all would like to see the video n pics of the reunion......they will have no option but to be here....... its not far. Hard work pays..though late. GOD BLESS.
ReplyDeleteToday Sanjay called me up to say he read my complaints. Thanks that was quick action. Hopefully, he will keep his word n drop in. Bye guys. Will keep posting comments here.
ReplyDeleteAt last Sanjay kept his promise. He gave me a call n then visited our house. He was here for almost two hours. He has changed so much in looks. But it was so good to see him. Ju came later n joined in. He wouldnt have recognised us had he seen us from elsewhere. Sur, ur timing was right. Bye guys.
ReplyDeleteSo Chetan is attending the Reunion.
ReplyDeleteHe was thrilled to hear my voice and kept on asking how I got his no:????
I told him about 30-35 of your old mates have been searching underthe carpet and behind the table for this lovely Gujarathi...atlast we got you.
It was sheer luck...searching in google with his name i got some nos.. The first one was somebody with similar name and my second call went directly to our "Bableee" ( His mom call him that way...if I remember correct)
If there is a will there is a way
It is wonderful to see results of the fantastic co-operation and understanding among us. We are one lovely set of people.
ReplyDeleteI think my "Sprained Leg" was only a tool in gods hand to find out True Friends.
ReplyDeleteIt all happened within 10-20 minutes on NET.
Venu commented first on November 2nd. Nalla Aishwaryamullah penayanu adhehathinte kayyiilirippu !! You won't believe, he magnetised 5 different contributors to comment on the same day - a record by GNG standards. Then what happened ? Nothing much: only 46 days have passed and Venu has failed; yes ! to show up. Ther's news that he got promoted. I have engaged and dispatched the 2 frm Private Detective Service to get 2 d btm of this ! Guys we were all very serious, that's why not much headway was made. Hence i'm trying a new route. Hope i'wudn't have 2 hide behind the Bush for 92 days and let u guys say," Venu magnetised and I sanitized"!
ReplyDeleteDont worry, it has to be me only.
SHIVUKUTTAH, eniyku manassilayeeh, but parayan pattathillah, Karanam athuoru secretaanu. 26 aam theeee yathikki parayam........ Rajiv, Delhi
